Diocese’s vicar general, 3 pastors are granted senior status effective June 13

Showalter, who has served as vicar general of the Diocese of Peoria for 14 years, was given the title vicar general emeritus.

Msgr. Paul Showalter, 77, vicar general of the Diocese of Peoria for 14 years and former pastor of parishes in Peoria, Rock Island, and Nauvoo, will move to senior status effective June 13.
