Diocese’s vicar general, 3 pastors are granted senior status effective June 13
Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, has granted senior status to (from left) Msgr. Paul Showalter, Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio, Father Carl LoPresti (upper right) and Father Robert Spilman. Msgr. Showalter, who has served as vicar general of the Diocese of Peoria for 14 years, was given the title vicar general emeritus.
Msgr. Paul Showalter, 77, vicar general of the Diocese of Peoria for 14 years and former pastor of parishes in Peoria, Rock Island, and Nauvoo, will move to senior status effective June 13.
