GALESBURG — Knox County Right to Life is sponsoring an essay contest for area high school students on the theme “Human Life is Precious.”

Students who attend school or are homeschooled in Knox County are invited to submit a 500-word essay on the theme by Oct. 1. Cash prizes include $200 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for their place. The awards will be presented during the Festival of Life in Galesburg on Oct. 18, with the winning essay read by the student.
