ROCK ISLAND — In observance of the Year of Consecrated Life, the public is invited to a “Celebrating Women Religious” event on Sunday, May 24, hosted by St. Pius X Parish.

All Quad Cities area Sisters have been invited to the event, which is sponsored by the Faith in Action Committee of St. Pius X Parish.

The evening begins at 4 p.m. with vespers at the church, 2502 29th Ave. A dinner catered by Jake O’s will follow at 5 p.m. in the parish center, Farrell Hall, and features a make-your-own ice cream sundae bar for dessert.

Background harp and flute music will be provided during the dinner by Lydia and Tina Olson.
