Extra Masses in Farmington
during Spoon River Drive

FARMINGTON — To assist those who will be taking the Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive over the next two weekends, St. Matthew’s Church is adding two extra Masses to its schedule.

Father Bruce King, IC, pastor, said he will be celebrating Mass at 6 p.m. in addition to the regular 5 p.m. Mass on the Saturdays of the drive, Oct. 2 and Oct. 9. Participants and workers will also have the option of attending Mass at 10 a.m. on the next two Sundays, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10, as well as the parish’s 8:30 a.m. liturgy.

“We want to accommodate anyone who wants to come out on the drive, so they have an opportunity for Mass,” Father King told The Catholic Post.
