Catholic Charities plans dinner-auction June 12

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Peoria has scheduled its 6th annual Light of Hope Celebration Dinner and Auction for Saturday, June 12.

This year’s event will take place at the Spalding Pastoral Center Ballroom, 419 N.E. Madison Ave. in Peoria.

Hosted by Matt Jones and Sandy Gallant, the evening will begin on the outdoor patio with a social hour, silent auction, and music by Charade. Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m.

The featured speaker for the evening will be Rich Donnelly, a Major League Baseball coach for 26 years who will present a “Field of Dreams” program.

The event concludes with a short live auction and a coffee and dessert bar “under the stars.”

Proceeds support Catholic Charities programs, which assist more than 30,000 people in 26 counties annually through a full range of social services including foster care, crisis intervention, counseling, senior services, Latino and immigrant outreach, and after-school programs.

Cost to attend the celebration is $100 per person. To make a reservation, donate an auction item, or for more information, contact Catholic Charities at (309) 636-8002.
