Schedule for the traveling monstrance has been amended for April 10 and 13
The schedule for the diocesan traveling monstrance will pause during Holy Week, as well as the week of April 17, when it will be needed for special events. Please note that there has been a change in the churches that will host the monstrance when the schedule resumes:
- April 10: Sacred Heart, Farmer City (new);
- April 13: Our Lady of the Lake, Mahomet (new);
- April 24, St. John the Baptist, Clinton; and
- April 27: St. Thomas Aquinas, Mount Pulaski.
The Holy Hours generally begin at 6:30 p.m. While eucharistic adoration is at the heart of the Holy Hours, they also include Scripture, a reflection, and Benediction.
The traveling monstrance will go to every church in the Diocese of Peoria as part of the celebration of the National Eucharistic Revival in central Illinois. For the complete schedule, visit cdop.org/eucharisticrevival/traveling-monstrance.
