Sanctity of Human Life Rally now set in Peoria on Tuesday evening, May 24

Monica Cline is the guest speaker at the Sanctity of Human Life Rally on May 24 in Peoria.

The Sanctity of Human Life Rally in Peoria, postponed from its usual January date because of a COVID-19 surge at that time, will take place at 7 p.m. this Tuesday, May 24, at a new location — Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 2025 N. Kickapoo Creek Road.

The guest speaker is Monica Cline, a former Planned Parenthood training manager whose career in comprehensive sex education ended when she began to question what she was teaching. Her message concerns the impact of comprehensive sex education on children, families, and the community.

The rally, sponsored by Central Illinois Right to Life, has traditionally taken place near the anniversary of the Jan. 22, 1973, Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in all 50 states. The gathering calls to mind the more than 60 million unborn children who have been aborted since that ruling.

This year’s rally will include a memory wall “for those with abortion-wounded hearts to honor their children by writing a message of love” on a provided paper heart.
