BLOOMINGTON: The Bloomington Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry each Friday during Lent, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 1706 R.T. Dunn Drive. The cost for a fish or shrimp dinner is $10. A child’s meal of grilled cheese or fish will also be available. To pre-order, call (309) 828-9671.
CHAMPAIGN: A fish fry is planned for the Fridays of Lent (with the exception of Good Friday), from 5 to 7 p.m. in Feeney Hall of St. Matthew Church, 1303 Lincolnshire Drive. The cost is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and teens, and $5 for children. Kids younger than 5 eat for free. To-go options are available.
DALZELL: St. Thomas More Church is hosting a dine-in fish fry on Friday, April 8, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the church hall, 302 Chestnut St. On the menu are fried fish, french fries, coleslaw, bread, dessert and a drink. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children age 7 and younger. Carry-outs will be available.
EAST PEORIA: The Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Fridays, March 4, 11 and 25, and April 8, at St. Monica’s Hall, 303 Campanile Drive. In addition to the fish (all you can eat), the meal includes a baked potato, lettuce salad and rolls. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Hot dog plates will be available for $5. Proceeds will be donated to the Msgr. E. L. Grzybowski Community Charities.
EUREKA: The St. Luke Men’s Club will have a fish fry on Friday, April 8, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the church basement, 904 E. Reagan Drive. The menu includes fried pollock (all you can eat), green beans, potato salad, and hushpuppies. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 7-12 for those dining in. The cost for carry-outs is $12 each. The Ladies Guild will be selling desserts for $2 each.
GALESBURG: The Galesburg Knights of Columbus will hold a Friday Nite Fish Fry on March 18, and April 1 and 8, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1556 E. Fremont St. A catfish meal is $15 and a walleye meal is $12. (Add $1 for carry-outs.) Dinners grilled cheese or mac and cheese will be available for $3 each or $5 with chips. Carry-out orders will be taken from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at (309) 343-6415. Meals may be picked up starting at 5:30 p.m.
HENNEPIN: The Knights of Columbus are holding a fish fry on Fridays, March 4 and 18, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Meals are drive-through only at 311 Hennepin, and available for a donation of $11 per order.
KEWANEE: Fish Fry Fridays are back at Visitation Catholic School, 107 S. Lexington Ave., and will be held March 4, 11, 18 and 25. The meals will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and are drive-through only. The cost is $10 for the fish (all you can eat), two sides, dinner roll and dessert. Sides include mac and cheese, baked potato and coleslaw. Enter the school parking strip on South Lexington Avenue from the north. Orders will be taken and meals delivered to the car. To order in advance, send email to visitationfishfry@gmail.com. LADD: A fish fry to benefit Peru Catholic School will be held Friday, March 25, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ladd Moose Hall, 1528 E. Cleveland St. The cost is $12 for a cod dinner with fries and coleslaw. Beverages and bake sale desserts may be purchased. Carry-outs will be available. MACOMB: The Knights of Columbus are holding a Lenten catfish fry every Friday in Lent — as well as Good Friday, April 15 — from 4 to 6:30 p.m., in the St. Paul School Gym, 322 W. Washington St. There are dine-in and carry-out options. The cost is $12 for a catfish dinner (or tuna casserole), with two sides, dessert, and a drink. For $6, children have their choice of grilled cheese or pizza, with one side, dessert, and a drink. Orders may be called in to (309) 333-7347 or placed online at knights-of-columbus-682.square.site
MORTON (Correction): The Morton Knights of Columbus will host a fish fry from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on each Friday of Lent, March 4, 11, 18 and 25, and April 1 and 8, as well as Good Friday, April 15. They will be served in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 616 W. David St. The price for the baked and/or fried walleye buffet, which includes baked beans, baked potatoes or french fries, coleslaw, bread and coffee is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, and $6 for children ages 7 to 12. Children younger than 7 eat free with a paid adult. The maximum cost per family is $50. The cost for a baked or fried catfish dinner with all the sides is $15, not $10 as was reported in the Feb. 27 issue. A child’s meal with a corn dog or hot dog and french fries is $3. OGLESBY: The Oglesby Knights of Columbus, Council 7801, 307 E. Florence St., will have a seafood dinner on Friday, March 25. The carry-out meals will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. and include fried cod, fried shrimp or a combination plate, as well as french fries, coleslaw and bread. PEORIA: The Holy Family Men’s Club is sponsoring a fish fry every Friday in Lent, as well as Good Friday, April 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the school gym, 2329 W. Reservoir Blvd. The cost is $14 for a catfish or walleye meal; $13 for a baked cod, Parmesan-crusted tilapia, or 10-piece shrimp meal; $9 for a six-piece shrimp meal; $8 for a child’s meal of walleye and fries; and $5 for a child’s plate with pizza and fries. All dinners include coleslaw, choice of baked potato or fries, and bread. Guests may dine in or pick up their meals, and order in person or online. PEORIA: The St. Bernard Men’s Club is planning a fish fry for Fridays, March 4 and 18, and April 1 and 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the East Bluff Community Center (former St. Bernard Gym), 512 E. Kansas St. Guests may dine in or carry out. The cost is $15 for a catfish or baked cod dinner, and $10 for a shrimp or fried cod dinner. Meals include coleslaw, choice of potato, and bread. A child’s meal of corn dogs, fried cod, or shrimp is available for $5.
PEORIA: The St. Clement Council of the Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry on each Friday of Lent, March 4, 11, 18 and 25, and April 1 and 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hettinger Hall of St. Jude Church, 10811 N. Knoxville Ave. Guests may dine in or carry out. The adult menu includes fried whole catfish, baked lemon cod, and deep-fried shrimp for $13, and a fish po’boy sandwich or garlic grilled cheese for $8. Entrees for children are mostaccioli and marinara or cheese pizza for $6. Adults have a choice of two sides and children may choose one side. PEORIA: A fish fry sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Spalding Council No. 427, and bake sale hosted by Central Illinois Right to Life will take place on Friday, March 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 7403 N. Radnor Road. The menu includes whole catfish, fillet catfish, baked cod, fried shrimp, choice of french fries, baked potato or potato salad, and rye bread, coleslaw, tea and coffee. The cost is $14 per person and $5 per child (one-piece fillet). Prices on the baked goods will vary.
PEORIA HEIGHTS: The St. Thomas the Apostle Men’s Club will have a fish fry on Friday, March 25, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., in the school cafeteria, 904 E. Lake Ave. The menu includes fried fish (all you can eat), homemade french fries, coleslaw, bread and drink. Children will have a choice of fish or grilled cheese. The cost for adults (age 13 and older) is $12 for pre-ordered meals and $15 at the door. For children ages 6-12, the cost is $8 for a fish meal and $5 for a grilled cheese meal. Children 5 and younger eat free with a paid adult. A drive-through option is also available by entering through the back parking lot. To pre-order, visit stthomaspeoria.org. A portion of the proceeds will benefit window replacement at St. Thomas the Apostle School.
PHILO: The Philo Knights of Columbus will host a Lenten fish fry every Friday from March 11 through April 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the John Schumacher Gym at St. Thomas School, 311 E. Madison St. The cost is $9 for a fried cod sandwich, sides, drink and dessert. A mac and cheese dinner will be available at $2 for kids, and $5 for adults. A fish sandwich only is $6. This is a fundraiser for St. Thomas School.
ROCK ISLAND: The Knights of Columbus, Allouez Council No. 658, will hold a fish fry on Friday, March 25, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Pius X Parish’s Farrell Hall, 2901 24th St. The menu includes baked or fried cod, cheese pizza, coleslaw, Tater Tots, mac and cheese, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 4-12, and free for children 3 and younger, with a family maximum for $25.
SILVIS: A fish fry sponsored by the Blessed Father Pro Men’s Club will be held on Lenten Fridays through April 8, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 800 17th St. Guests may dine in or carry out their meals, which include a choice of fried whole catfish, baked cod or fried shrimp, and sides of baked potato, Texas toast, mac and cheese, bean tostadas, green beans, coleslaw and more. The cost is $12 per person.
URBANA: The St. Patrick Knights of Columbus, Urbana Council 5752, is planning fish dinners on the Fridays of Lent, beginning March 4. They will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in St. Brigid Hall, 708 W. Main St. The adult menu includes a fried fish sandwich or two baked fish tacos, and coleslaw, mac and cheese, chips and salsa, and dessert. There will be a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich, mac and cheese, chips and salsa, and dessert for the children. The cost is $10 per fish meal ($8 for seniors) or $6 per child’s meal. People may dine in or carry out.
