Couples invited to Diocesan Marriage Mass, date night on Saturday, Feb. 12

Just before Valentine’s Day, all married couples are invited to celebrate the gift of Christian marriage at the Diocesan Marriage Mass and Date Night scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12, in Peoria.

Coadjutor Bishop Louis Tylka will celebrate the Marriage Mass and lead the couples in a renewal of their wedding vows. The Mass begins at 4 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 607 N.E. Madison Ave.

The Mass will be followed at 5:30 p.m. by an optional Date Night featuring a candlelight dinner catered by Peoria Catering, dancing, and music at the nearby Spalding Pastoral Center. Traditional New Orleans Jazz entertainment will be provided by the Water Street Stompers.

Cost for the Date Night is $80 per couple, or $40 per person. Registration can be made online here, or by sending a check made out to the Diocese of Peoria to Date Night, Spalding Pastoral Center, 419 N.E. Madison Ave., Peoria, IL  61603.
