Post’s memorial video honors deceased loved ones, offers faith, hope in Christ

Nearly 50 reader-submitted photos are featured in our 2021 All Souls' Day Memorial Video.

Nearly 50 reader-submitted photos of recently deceased loved ones are featured in a 2021 All Souls’ Day memorial video produced by The Catholic Post.

The video was released on Nov. 1 on YouTube and via The Catholic Post’s Facebook page. It had already received nearly 1,000 views by the next day’s Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, also known as the feast of All Souls.

“We are deeply grateful to the readers who shared images of their loved ones for this project,” said Tom Dermody, editor of The Catholic Post. He said the goals of the video are to remember and honor the deceased, inspire prayer for them and the loved ones who miss them, and to offer comfort and hope in Christ.

Providing musical background as the photos appear in the video is the song “No More Goodbyes,” composed and performed by Dermody.

Video production was by Daryl Wilson Photography, and the project is supported by the Catholic Cemetery Association of Peoria.
