Bishop Tylka’s June parish prayer calendar
Coadjutor Bishop Louis Tylka has been praying for each parish in the Diocese of Peoria by name, thanks to a calendar he developed with the assistance of Sister Linda Burkitt of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate Conception (Heading Avenue Franciscans). The prayer calendar also includes days special to the religious communities active in central Illinois.
In June, the parishes and religious communities being remembered in prayer are:
- June 3: St. Joseph Parish, Marseilles
- June 5: St. Boniface Parish, Seymour
- June 6: Blessed Sacrament Parish, Morton
- June 8: St. Patrick Parish, Minonk
- June 9: St. Columba Parish, Ottawa
- June 11: Sacred Heart Parish, Abingdon
- June 12: Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, West Peoria, Normal and Champaign
- June 13: St. Anthony Parish, Atkinson
- June 14: St. Anthony Parish, Matherville
- June 15: St. Anthony Parish, Hoopeston
- June 16: St. Paul Parish, Odell
- June 17: Sacred Heart Parish, Warsaw
- June 18: Sacred Heart Parish, Moline
- June 19: St. Mary’s Cathedral, Peoria
- June 20: Sacred Heart Parish, Dallas City
- June 21: St. Aloysius Parish, Wataga
- June 22: St. Thomas More Parish, Dalzell
