ROCK ISLAND — The Christ Child Society of the Quad Cities will host a “Red Wagon Drive-Up Baby Shower” on Saturday, May 15. All donations will benefit the Women’s Choice Center in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Items may be dropped off from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Pius X Church, 2502 29th Ave., in Rock Island, or Our Lady of the River Church, 28200 226th St. Place, in Le Claire, Iowa. Members of the Christ Child Society will be at the parish halls in each location to accept contributions.

Listed as necessities are diapers (newborn or size 1), wipes, board books, newborn sleepers and bibs.

Items needed for newborn girls and boys, as well as girls and boys up to three months, are one-piece sleepers (both heavy and light weight), onesies (plain white and patterned, long sleeves and short sleeves), socks, and seasonal outfits.

Also welcome are body wash, shampoo, lotions and diaper cream.

The Christ Child Society assists mothers and babies in need, and promotes reading in families and with young children.
