Who are your Catholic school heroes providing light in this challenging year?
Despite the pandemic, Catholic education continues to be delivered to nearly 10,000 students across the Diocese of Peoria through remote learning. Making this possible are teachers, principals, staff members and parents who are working closely with Dr. Sharon Weiss, superintendent, and the diocesan Office of Catholic Schools. For Catholic Schools Week, The Catholic Post would like to recognize these people who are working so hard.
Tell us who your heroes are and what makes them so special. Who has gone out of their way to engage their students? When things seemed bleak, who provided a light? Who has offered a helping hand? Students are welcome to share their thoughts, too!
Send your stories, photos and drawings to Jennifer Willems at jwillems@cdop.org or to Catholic Schools Week, The Catholic Post, P.O. Box 1722, Peoria, IL 61656. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number and parish. The deadline is Jan. 11.
