Roland Johnson Christmas Ornament sales benefit Heading Avenue Franciscans

WEST PEORIA — “Jesus Blesses the Children” is depicted on the 26th annual Rolan Johnson Christmas ornament that is being sold by the Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Heading Avenue Franciscans. Two sided and encased in a gold-plated brass frame, the ornaments come gift boxed with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

The Heading Avenue Franciscans will not be able to bring the ornaments to parishes this year due to the pandemic, but they are available for $35 at Immaculate Conception Convent, 2408 W. Heading Ave. In addition, the ornaments can be found at Hometown Community Banks (divisions of Morton Community Bank), Kay’s Hallmark in the Metro Centre in Peoria, and Lagron Miller Co. in Peoria.

To order by mail or online, visit westpeoriasisters.org and click on the links for “Development” and “Ornaments.” There is a form there that may be printed and returned with payment to Development Office, Heading Avenue Franciscans, 2408 W. Heading Ave., West Peoria, IL 61604. Online orders via credit card are also accepted on the site.

Proceeds benefit the Sisters’ Retirement Fund.
