The Catholic Post opens 2020 subscription drive; promises ‘Stories Worth Sharing’
Saying “we are blessed in the Diocese of Peoria to have a newspaper that tells stories exceptionally well,” Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, has urged support and readership for The Catholic Post as its 2020 subscription drive begins.
“Whether shared on newsprint, online, or via social media, the stories generated by The Catholic Post offer invaluable support for Catholics living in central Illinois,” writes Bishop Jenky in a letter to be read at all Masses the weekend of Feb. 1-2. “They tell the living story of our family of faith, from the next pew and across the globe. They inspire, challenge, and unite us.
“These are truly ‘Stories Worth Sharing,'” said the bishop, revealing the theme of The Catholic Post’s 2020 Delivering Unity Campaign.
Bishop Jenky’s letter is dated Jan. 24 — the feast of St. Francis de Sales, patron of the Catholic press. It will be printed in the Feb. 2 issue of the diocesan newspaper, which will include further details on subscribing to and supporting The Catholic Post.
The Delivering Unity Campaign funds both print and digital outreaches to share The Catholic Post’s vital information as widely and rapidly as possible.
Subscribing may be done via credit card online or by calling 1-800-340-5630. Checks may also be mailed to The Catholic Post, PO Box 1722, Peoria, IL 61656.
