Couples invited to post-Valentine’s Day Marriage Mass, date night on Feb. 15

Pianist, composer, and inspirational speaker Eric Genuis will perform as part of the date night evening that follows the Diocesan Marriage Mass on Feb. 15.

The day after Valentine’s Day, couples from throughout the Diocese of Peoria are invited to join Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, for a celebration of the gift of Christian marriage.

The Diocese of Peoria’s annual Marriage Mass and Date Night will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15. It begins with a 4 p.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop Jenky at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria. During the Mass, the bishop will lead the couples in a renewal of their wedding vows.

The Mass will be followed by an optional candlelight dinner at the nearby Spalding Pastoral Center. Pianist, composer, and inspirational speaker Eric Genuis will provide entertainment. Rounding out the musical group will be a violinist, cellist, and vocalist.

Cost for the dinner and program is $80 per couple. Early registration is advised, and can be done online at cdop.org/datenight, or by mailing checks payable to “Catholic Diocese of Peoria” to CDOP Evangelization, 419 N.E. Madison Ave., Peoria, IL 61603.
