GENESEO — To prepare for a visit from the Priests Pedaling for Prayers and their companions, students at St. Malachy School learned a song written by music teacher Elizabeth Hulsbrink.

“It came to me off the top of my head,” she told The Catholic Post before Father Tom Otto, Father Adam Cesarek, and Father Michael Pica rode into the school gym on Sept. 30. “I really enjoy writing songs.”

Hulsbrink rehearsed the students for four class periods, over two weeks, so they would be ready to sing their hearts out for the priests.

Sung to the tune of “God Has Chosen Me” by Bernadette Farrell, here are the special lyrics written for the Priests Pedaling for Prayers:

God has chosen three,
God has chosen three,
to bring good news to our school.
God has chosen three,
God has chosen three,
to pedal their bikes,
to share the light.
God has chosen three,
chosen three.

Fathers Otto, Cesarek
and Pica are here,
praying for awareness
and spiritual support
for vocations in our diocese.
Prayer-raiser here,
for the pedaling priests!

(Sing twice)
