Danville Polyclinic offices, providers and staff now part of OSF HealthCare
DANVILLE — Nearly 100 people witnessed blessing and dedication ceremonies on April 4 to welcome Danville Polyclinic offices, providers and staff as part of OSF HealthCare Ministry.
The private ceremonies took place at the physician offices located at 707 N. Logan Ave. The integration was finalized on Sunday, April 7. Patients will continue to see the same providers, but all care will now be aligned with OSF HealthCare and OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.
OSF HealthCare and Danville Polyclinic announced plans to integrate in October of 2018. Specialties that are now part of the OSF HealthCare Ministry include cardiology, family medicine, general surgery, gastroenterology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pediatrics, podiatry, PromptCare, and urology. The Ambulatory Surgery Center will continue to be owned and operated by Danville Polyclinic.
Dr. Venkat Sekar, president of Danville Polyclinic, praised OSF HealthCare’s “amazing” commitment to the Danville community. It acquired the former Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in early 2018, renaming it OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center.
