ROCK ISLAND — Entries are being accepted through Feb. 19 for the Art of Faith, a juried sacred art show and sale that will be held Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3, in Farrell Hall of St. Pius X Church, 2901 24th St. The theme is “The Merciful Love of Jesus.”
This is the eighth year for the event, which will feature art of the Sacred Heart.
People may come and meet the artists, hear from area musicians, and have a bite to eat from 2 to 7 p.m. on March 2, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 3. There will also be rosary making and coloring activities for adults and children.
On Sunday, Paul Herrera from the Art Legacy League will demonstrate calligraphy during a free workshop at noon. To reserve a place, write to Art of Faith founder and organizer Jill Rodts at jillmr96@gmail.com.
Artists may enter their work by sending three to five photos with an artistic statement about how their work reflects God’s merciful love to Rodts at that email address. They may also mail them to Art of Faith, 2502 29th Ave., Rock Island, IL 61201.
