Married Valentines, consider Feb. 9 Marriage Mass at cathedral, Date Night

Married couples looking for an evening out as Valentine’s Day approaches are invited to consider the Diocese of Peoria’s annual Marriage Mass on Saturday, Feb. 9, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria as well as an optional “Date Night” with dinner and entertainment to follow.

Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, will be principal celebrant of the 4 p.m. Mass and will lead couples in a renewal of their marriage vows.

At 5:30 p.m., a candlelight dinner celebration begins at the nearby Spalding Pastoral Center. The dinner will be catered by Catering Peoria, and followed by a program of dueling pianos featuring “Felix and Fingers.”

Cost for those planning to attend the dinner and entertainment “Date Night” is $80 per couple. Space is limited. Registration can be made online at cdop.org/datenight or checks may be mailed to CDOP Evangelization, 419 N.E. Madison Ave., Peoria, IL 61603.
