The St. Anthony Camerata Chorale Festival Choir will present a concert, “Christmas at the Cathedral,” on Sunday, Dec. 16, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria. It will begin at 3 p.m.

The ecumenical choir, based at St. Anthony Parish in Bartonville, will perform Mozart’s Coronation Mass KV 317, along with traditional Christmas carols and songs from modern-day composers. As has become its custom, the Festival Choir will invite the audience to sing along on some of the carols.

While Mary Ann Fahey-Darling is the conductor for the Festival Choir, she is serving as a soloist for the Coronation Mass, so Mary Jo Papich will be the guest conductor for that piece. Other soloists are Diana Sheets, David Castle and John Darling.

The accompanist is Meme Jenkins, another Festival Choir member. An 18-piece orchestra will also accompany the group for the Coronation Mass.

There is no charge for admission, but those who attend are asked to bring non-perishable food items for Sophia’s Kitchen. During a brief intermission, a free-will donation will be received for Love Repeated, a mission that supports those in need in Africa.
