47 photos in Post’s 2018 memorial video for All Souls’ Day: View it here

The title page of last year's All Souls Day memorial video produced by The Catholic Post. The diocesan newspaper is again invited readers to send photos of recently deceased loved ones for inclusion in its 2019 video.

The Catholic Post’s annual memorial video tribute to those who died in the past year is complete and includes photos of 47 Catholics from around the diocese submitted by their loved ones.

“We are deeply grateful to those who shared the photos,” said Tom Dermody, editor of The Catholic Post. “We hope that the video’s message of faith and hope offers comfort not only for those who contributed these photos, but for all who lost a loved one in the past year,” he said.

The annual video is also designed to seek prayers for the faithful departed. A scroll at the end quotes from the 2008 festival letter of Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC: “Both our hope in the resurrection and our love for one another should oblige us to pray constantly for all those who have died and gone before us.”

The video, which may be viewed below, is set to the song “No More Goodbyes,” composed and sung by Dermody. Video production was by Daryl Wilson Photography with support from the Catholic Cemetery Association of Peoria.

The video will be posted to The Catholic Post’s site on Facebook the evening of Nov. 1.
