‘Go Forth with Christ’ is the theme of charismatic renewal fall retreat Sept. 15
Father Timothy Hepner will be the speaker for the annual fall retreat planned for Saturday, Sept. 15, by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Diocese of Peoria. “Be Still, Be Filled, and Go Forth with Christ” will be held at the Spalding Pastoral Center, 419 N.E. Madison Ave., in Peoria.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. The retreat will begin at 9 a.m. and includes a Mass at 6 p.m. A healing service will follow.
Born in Lexington, Father Hepner attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona, Minnesota, and the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sacred theology and master’s degree in dogmatic theology. He was ordained May 26, 2012, and assigned to be the parochial vicar at Immaculate Conception in Monmouth, St. Theresa in Alexis, and St. Patrick in Raritan.
While in Warren and Henderson counties, he also served as chaplain at St. Augustine Newman Center at Monmouth College and OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth.
Father Hepner was named vocation director of recruitment for the Diocese of Peoria in 2015.
The cost to attend the fall retreat is $45 with lunch and supper included or $25 without meals. The registration deadline for meals is Sept. 7.
