MOLINE — Sister Joyce Rupp, OSM, will present a mini-retreat on “Boundless Compassion: Creating a Way of Life” on Monday, April 16, at the Believers Together Center at Christ the King Church, 3205 60th St. Her visit is being sponsored by Benet House Retreat Center at St. Mary Monastery in Rock Island.

The evening will start with a reception and book signing at 6 p.m., with the mini-retreat following from 7 to 9 p.m.

“Boundless Compassion: Creating a Way of Life” is the title of Sister Joyce’s new book, which was published earlier this month by Ave Maria Press. During the mini-retreat, she will present a vision of life based on the Gospels with a compassionate approach to societal issues today, and offer practical approaches to changing hearts and reinvigorating hope “amid the current cultural quagmire of discouragement.”

“Fly While You Still Have Wings,” a book on aging, received an award from the Catholic Press Association in 2016.

Sister Joyce is a member of the Servants of Mary and serves as co-director of the Boundless Compassion program. She currently resides in Des Moines.

The cost to attend the reception and mini-retreat in Moline is $25. To register, visit smmsisters.org, send email to retreats@smmsisters.org, or call (309) 283-2108. Tickets will be mailed upon registration.
