EAST PEORIA: There will be a Knights of Columbus fish fry on Friday, March 23, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the St. Monica Parish Hall, 303 Campanile Drive. In addition to the fish (all you can eat), the meal includes a baked potato, lettuce salad and rolls. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Hot dog plates will be available for $3. Proceeds will go to the Msgr. E. L. Grzybowski Community Charities.

ELMWOOD: St. Patrick Church, 802 W. Main St., will hold a catfish and shrimp fry from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the Fridays of Lent through March 23, in the parish hall. In addition to fish, the menu includes baked potato or french fries, applesauce, coleslaw, roll, drink and homemade dessert. The cost is $9.50 for adults and $4.50 for children. Carryouts are available by calling (309) 742-4921.

EUREKA: The St. Luke Men’s Club will have a fish fry on Friday, March 23, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Luke Church, 904 Reagan Drive. In addition to the fish (all you can eat), the menu includes potato salad, green beans and hush puppies. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. Carryouts are available for $10. Desserts prepared by the St. Luke Ladies Guild may be purchased for an additional cost.

LACON: The FAITH Outreach of Immaculate Conception Church is planning a fish fry for Friday, March 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Henry American Legion Building, 303 Main St. In addition to fish, the menu includes baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, desserts and drinks. The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger. There will also be a bake sale, raffle, silent auction, quilt raffle and boutique table. All proceeds will be used to help those in need with rent and utilities.

MONMOUTH: The Monmouth Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry on the Fridays of Lent through March 23, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Club, 120 S. Sunny Lane. The cost is $11.50 for a dinner of catfish, baked potato, two sides and a drink; $9 for a dinner of tuna casserole, two sides and a drink; and $4 for a child’s meal that includes a choice of tuna casserole, macaroni and cheese, or cheese pizza, one side and a drink. Carryouts will be available.

PEORIA: St. Bernard Church, 512 E. Kansas St., will hold a fish fry on Friday, March 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The cost is $9 for an adult meal with fried catfish, fried or baked cod, or fried shrimp, coleslaw and bread, and a choice of baked potato, french fries or potato salad. A light adult meal or child’s meal is $5. Carryouts will be available.

PEORIA: Holy Family Church has planned a fish fry for each Friday in Lent through March 23. Dinners are served in the school gym, 2329 W. Reservoir Blvd., from 4 to 7 p.m.

PHILO: The Philo Knights of Columbus will be hosting fish fry dinners on the Fridays of Lent through March 23, following Stations of the Cross at 6 p.m. The meals will be served in the John Schumacher Gym at St. Thomas School, 311 E. Madison St., and include a fried cod sandwich, sides, drink and dessert for $8, or a fish sandwich for $5. A dinner of macaroni and cheese is $5 for adults and $2 for children. Net profits will benefit St. Thomas School.

SILVIS: The Father Pro Men’s Club of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 800 17th St., will sponsor a fish fry on the Fridays of Lent through March 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu features fried catfish, deep fried breaded shrimp, and baked cod, and includes a baked potato, Texas toast, and a large salad bar. The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12, or $30 per family (mother, father and children younger than 18). Pop and dessert will be available for an additional cost.
