GERMANTOWN HILLS — Lisa Hendey, an international speaker and author, will offer an evening for parents on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the parish hall of St. Mary of Lourdes, 424 Lourdes Church Road. Her presentation, “The Sacred Balancing Act: Busy Lives and Family Spirituality,” will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Hendey is the founder and editor of CatholicMom.com, launched in 1999, which carries columns by more than 150 writers on a variety of parenting issues and humor. The site also features a daily Gospel reflection, a “Tech Talk” column, a Catholic Book Club and Catholic Music Spotlights.

Her books include “The Grace of Yes,” “The Catholic Mom’s Prayer Companion,” “The Handbook for Catholic Moms” and “A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms.” Hendey’s newest project is the “Chime Travelers” series, based on the lives of the saints, for elementary school readers.
