St. Jude, Peoria, to host Catholic Scripture Study series on Tuesdays beginning Sept. 5
The Acts of the Apostles will be the focus of a Catholic Scripture Study program that will be held Tuesdays, starting Sept. 5, at St. Jude Church, 10811 N. Knoxville, Peoria. It is open to people from all parishes and no previous Scripture study experience is required.
The 28-week program has commentary and questions designed by Catholic author and speaker Steve Ray. He has presented many workshops in the Diocese of Peoria, and shared the story of how he and his family entered the Catholic Church on Pentecost Sunday in 1994.
The Scripture study also features DVD presentations by Father Patrick Winslow.
Sessions will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. each Tuesday. Parents with babies and toddlers will have their own discussion group, meeting from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the church nursery. No childcare will be provided.
Participants are asked to bring a Bible and a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
To register, send a check for $50, made payable to “St. Jude Church,” to Janice Lukich, 20806 N. Sequoia Curve, Chillicothe, IL 61523. Please include your name, address, phone number, email address and parish, and indicate if you will need the group for parents with children.
