‘Claiming the Victory of the Cross’ is Charismatic Day of Renewal theme May 6

The Office of the Charismatic Renewal of the Diocese of Peoria will hold a day of renewal on Saturday, May 6, at the Spalding Pastoral Center in Peoria. The theme is “Claiming the Victory of the Cross.”

It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include three teachings:

  • “Gift of Discernment” will be presented by Deacon Robert Pomazal of St. Edward in Chillicothe, where he shares in the leadership of the Spirit of Love Disciples prayer group.
  • “Gift of Service and Gift of Helps” will be discussed by Deacon Kevin and Linda Zeeb of Blessed Sacrament in Morton.
  • “Resting in the Spirit” will be explored by Deacon William Meyer of St. Patrick in Havana and Immaculate Conception in Manito, where he is the prayer group leader. He serves as spiritual adviser to the advisory board for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Diocese of Peoria.

The cost for the day of renewal is $15, which includes a boxed lunch. Pre-registration is required by April 26.
