Musician, author John Michael Talbot will appear at St. Patrick, Urbana, Oct. 16-17

John Michael Talbot's appearences in Urbana are part of the tour for his 55th album, "The Inner Room," which is being released this month.

URBANA — Christian recording artist and author John Michael Talbot will offer evenings of “Healing and Hope through Spoken Word and Sacred Song” at St. Patrick Church, 708 W. Main St., on Sunday, Oct. 16, and Monday, Oct. 17. Both will begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are not required. In lieu of ticket sales, a free-will offering will be received to support Talbot’s ministries and the Brothers and Sisters of Charity, the community he founded and leads as minister general.

The appearances in Urbana are part of the tour for his 55th album, “The Inner Room,” which is being released this month. The CD features 10 compositions inspired by the call to go to the “inner room” with Jesus to find healing, hope and revival and then go forward in Christ, believing “all things are possible.”

At the heart of the project, according to Talbot, is Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.

Earlier this year, he released his 29th book, “Monk Dynasty.”

In addition to his music and writing ministries, he is the host of a TV series, “All Things Are Possible.”
