DAVENPORT, Iowa — “The Catholic Voice in Public Policy” will be the theme of a presentation to medical personnel from throughout the Quad Cities region this Saturday, Nov. 21.

Tom Chapman, executive director of the Iowa Catholic Conference since 2007, is the featured speaker for the November gathering of the St. Thomas Aquinas Guild of the Quad Cities, a chartered guild of the Catholic Medical Association.
The meeting will take place at Denning Hall of St. Paul the Apostle Church, 916 E. Rusholme St. in Davenport. A light breakfast will be served after doors open at 9:30 a.m., with the program starting at 10.

Chapman’s talk will review issues facing Catholics in health care including abortion, end-of-life decisions, bioethics, and conscience rights protection. Because he works closely with Catholic Conference of Illinois officials, the presentation will be “bi-state” in this political season.

The public is welcome to attend. Email stthomasaquinasguild@gmail.com for more information.
