BLOOMINGTON — Central Catholic High School is celebrating its first volleyball state championship. The Saints powered past Orion on Saturday afternoon at Redbird Arena in Normal to win the Illinois High School Association Class 2A title.

The Saints, coached by JR Banister, won the title match 25-20, 25-21. The team was honored with a rally at the school Sunday afternoon.
