DCCW Day of Remembrance honors ‘Holy Souls’ Nov. 3

Journeying through Life with the Holy Souls is the theme for a day of remembrance planned by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women for Tuesday, Nov. 3. It will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. at the Spalding Pastoral Center, 419 N.E. Madison Ave., in Peoria.

The spiritual director will be Father John Verrier, pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Brimfield and St. James Parish in Williamsfield. He will offer a talk in the morning after the welcome and opening prayer at 10 a.m., and a second talk in the afternoon, during eucharistic adoration.

The day also includes time for the sacrament of reconciliation, the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and will close with Benediction at 2:30 p.m.
Men are also welcome to attend.

The cost is $18, which includes lunch. Reservations are requested by Oct. 29 and may be made by sending a check to Nympha White, Treasurer, 660 Myrtle Ave., Grand Ridge, IL 61325.
