Pro-life Joshua seminar, camp set Aug. 7-8 in Galesburg
GALESBURG — Knox County Right to Life has planned events on Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, to give high school students and adults the tools they need to stand up for life. Both will be held at Costa Catholic Academy, 2726 Costa Drive.
The Joshua Seminar, a pro-life educational evening for adults, will be held Aug. 7, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and those who bring a friend who did not attend last year will receive a prize.
The Third Annual Joshua Pro-Life Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 8. Designed for teens, the day will be filled with education, food, fun, games and fellowship.
Students who register by Aug. 3 will receive a free Joshua Camp shirt. Those who came last year will receive a free pro-life sweatshirt if they bring a friend who did not attend.
Those who participated in Joshua Camp in previous years have formed Students for Life at Galesburg Public High School and are already educating their peers. It is one of only four pro-life clubs at public schools nationwide, according to Knox County Right to Life officials.
There is no cost for either the Joshua Seminar or Joshua Camp.
Registration is requested by Aug. 5, although walk-ins are welcome. To register, visit Knox County Right to Life or call Dick or Pat at (309) 343-2852.
