Tell ‘Post’ how you, your parish, are caring for God’s creation

Photo Caption: Volunteers tend to the parish garden at St. Mary Church, Bloomington, in this photo from last summer. How is your parish, school, or family “green”?

We hope to localize our coverage of Pope Francis’ new teaching on caring for creation with examples of how our Catholic parishes, schools, institutions and families — especially farming families — in the Diocese of Peoria have taken steps to safeguard the environment.

Whether it be a recycling project, a soil conservation practice, a “green” building design, or other example of working with instead of against creation, we’d like to hear about it and the motivation behind it. Call our newsroom at (800) 340-5630 or email cathpost@cdop.org.
