GENESEO — “Passion & Purpose for Marriage,” a program from Matthew Kelly’s Dynamic Catholic Institute, will be presented Saturday, April 11, at St. Malachy Church, 595 E. Ogden Ave. The featured speaker for the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will be Dr. Allen Hunt, who promises to reveal the most important word in a marriage — and it isn’t “love.”
He will also discuss the “Five Love Languages” and present faith-filled talks about “The Five Things Women Need to know about Men” and “The Five Things Men Need to Know about Women.”
Hunt is vice president of strategy and content at Dynamic Catholic. The former senior pastor of Mount Pisgah, a congregation serving more than 15,000 people outside Atlanta, Georgia, he stepped down on July 1, 2007, and was received into the Catholic Church on Jan. 6, 2008.
He shared his story in “Confessions of a Mega-Church Pastor: How I Discovered the Hidden Treasures of the Catholic Church.” Hunt has also written “Everybody Needs to Forgive Somebody” and “Nine Words: A Bible Study to Help You Become the Best Version of Yourself.”
The Geneseo event will also feature music by George Lower, an award-winning singer and songwriter with more than 20 years of experience leading worship in Catholic parishes. His original songs are featured on the album “Hold My Hand,” which debuted in October 2013.
Doors open at 8 a.m. and the sessions start at 9 a.m. Snacks and lunch will be available for a free-will donation.
