BETTENDORF, Iowa — High school teens and college-age young adults of all faiths are invited to be part of “The L.I.V.E. Event,” a pro-life youth rally scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, at St. Ambrose University’s Rogalski Center Ballroom.

The rally is free to all who register online in advance and features motivational speaker and musician Pat Millea. A Davenport native, Millea is now based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he serves as a youth minister.

The L.I.V.E. acronym spells out the mission of the gathering: to proclaim that “Life Is Valuable (No) Exceptions.”

“Young people today want the truth,” said Vicki Tyler, executive director and CEO of the Women’s Choice Center, a ministry offering free services to women facing unplanned pregnancies and sponsor of the rally. “When they hear the truth they embrace it and apply it to their lives.”

The event will equip participants with facts to defend the truth that human life begins at conception. A message from Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood clinic director and now a leading pro-life voice, is on the schedule. The rally will also feature trivia, games, food, and prizes.

Event organizers are seeking high school and college-age leaders to help with church and community outreach. Interested participants should email theliveevent2015@gmail.com or visit the event’s pages on Facebook or Twitter.

For free admission through online registration, visit womenschoicecenter.com or call (563) 332-0475.
