BENSON: The Knights of Columbus, St. Francis of Assisi Council No. 4293, will have a fish fry on Friday, March 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Benson American Legion Hall, 121 N. Main St. The menu includes Alaskan walleye (all you can eat), coleslaw, green beans, applesauce and bread. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children younger than 12. Carry-outs will be available for $8. Proceeds will benefit the council’s charitable causes.
BLOOMINGTON: St. Mary School, 603 W. Jackson, will host fish frys on Fridays, March 7 and 14, and April 4 and 11, serving from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guests will have a choice of fish (all you can eat) or pasta and two sides. Both meals come with drinks and dessert. Tickets for adults are $7 if purchased in advance or $8 at the door. The cost for children in grades one through five is $5. Children in kindergarten or younger eat for free. For advance tickets, send email to FishFry@StMarysSchool.net or call the church office at (309) 827-8526. All proceeds will be used to support St. Mary School.
EAST PEORIA: The Knights of Columbus will hold a fish fry on Friday, March 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Monica Church, 303 Campanile Drive. In addition to the fish (all you can eat), the meal includes a baked potato, lettuce salad and rolls. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. A hot dog plate will be available for $3. Proceeds will be donated to the Msgr. E.L. Grzybowski Community Charities.
EAST PEORIA: The Knights of Columbus will hold fish frys on Fridays, March 21 and March 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Monica’s Hall, 303 Campanile Drive. In addition to the fish (all you can eat), the meal includes baked potato, lettuce salad and rolls The cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. Hot dog plates are $3. The proceeds will be donated to the Msgr. E.L. Grzybowski Community Charities.
ELMWOOD: St. Patrick Church, 802 W. Main St., is planning its annual fish/shrimp frys for the Fridays of Lent, from March 7 to April 11, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes fish or shrimp, potato, applesauce, coleslaw, roll, drink and homemade desserts. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds will go to the parking lot fund.
HENRY: The Knights of Columbus, Henry Council 2405, is planning a smelt and fish fry on Friday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the bowling alley at the four-way stop on Route 29. Prices for the all-you-can-eat dinner are $10 per adult or $5.50 per child.
METAMORA: The Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Sorrows Council No. 3060, will hold a fish fry on Fridays, March 7 and 21, and April 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Snyder Village Center, 1200 E. Partridge St. The menu includes walleye (all you can eat), potato salad or baked potato, green beans, applesauce and bread. Grilled cheese sandwiches will also be available. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 to 9. Children 4 and younger eat for free. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds will benefit the charitable causes of the Knights of Columbus.
MONMOUTH: The Monmouth Council of the Knights of Columbus are planning a fish fry for every Friday in Lent, from March 7 to April 11, in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 120 S. Sunny Lane. Meals will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The cost is $11 for adults and $6.50 for children. Carry-outs will be available.
MORTON: The Morton Knights of Columbus will host Friday fish frys from March 7 to April 18, in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 616 W. David St. The hours are 5:30 to 8 p.m. In addition to the fried or baked walleye (all you can eat), dinners include potato, beans, coleslaw, applesauce, coffee and bread. The buffet is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10. The maximum cost for a family buffet is $50. Fried catfish dinners will also be available for $14. PEORIA: The Knights of Columbus, St. Clement Council No. 12407, will sponsor a fish fry every Friday in Lent, from March 7 through April 11, serving from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Jude Church, 10811 N. Knoxville. The cost is $10 for all you can eat, $8 for an adult meal with two fillets, and $5 for a child’s meal with one fillet and macaroni and cheese. Meals also include potato, salad and dessert. Carry-outs will be available.
PEORIA: The Maggie Bertram Foundation for the Fine Arts will host a St. Patrick’s Day Party including a fish fry on Friday, March 14, at Holy Family School, 3720 N. Sterling Ave. Doors open at 4 p.m. with serving and the party from 5 to 10 p.m. The event will also include Irish dancers and music as well as silent auctions. The Foundation honors the memory of Maggie Bertram — a Peoria Notre Dame High School student killed in a car accident on March 4, 2012 — by raising funds to support art, music, and dance educational programs and activities for students at the K-12 level.
PEORIA: The Men’s Club of Holy Family Pairsh, 3720 N. Sterling Ave., will serve a fish fry on Friday, March 7, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
PEORIA: The Knights of Columbus, Spalding Council No. 427, will serve a fish fry on all Fridays of Lent from 5 to 7 p.m. at the club, 7403 N. Radnor Road.
PEORIA: St. Bernard Parish will host fish frys on March 7, 21 and April 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the East Bluff Community Center (the old school), 512 E. Kansas Ave.
