Theology on Tap series set to open in Monmouth Feb. 20

MONMOUTH — Young adults and their friends from throughout the area are invited to discuss faith issues in a relaxed setting during a Theology on Tap series on three consecutive Thursday evenings starting Feb. 20.
Speakers and topics have been named for the series, set to take place at Petey’s Pub and Grill, 2 American Way in Monmouth. All talks begin at 7 p.m., though participants are invited to come anytime after 6:15 p.m. to eat and socialize.
The schedule includes:
Feb. 20 — “Strange Notions: How to Dialogue about the One True Faith without Being a Jerk,” featuring Megan Willis as presenter;
Feb. 27 — “Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving: The Real Core Workouts,” featuring Father Joseph Mary Brown of the Community of St. John, and
March 6 — “Real Men of Jesus,” presented by Deacon Aaron Hoste of St. Patrick Parish, Colona.
