Msgr. Soseman will sign book at East Moline parish Sunday

EAST MOLINE — Msgr. Richard Soseman will return to the Quad Cities on Sunday, Dec. 22, to sign copies of his book, “Reflections from Rome: Practical Thoughts on Faith & Family,” in Cleary Hall at St. Anne Church, 1705 Sixth St. People are welcome to stop by between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

A native of Moline, Msgr. Soseman grew up in East Moline and was a member of St. Anne Church. After graduating from Alleman High School in Rock Island, he went on to Marquette University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and political science and a master’s degree in Spanish language and literature.

He studied for the priesthood at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., and was ordained on May 23, 1992, by Bishop (now Archbishop) John J. Myers at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria. He currently serves as an official for the Vatican’s Congregation for Clergy and coordinator of international outreach for the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation.

Copies of his book may be purchased at the signing event for $15. To reserve a copy, send email to office@olgca.org. He will also sign books that were already purchased.

Proceeds from the book sales will benefit Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy.
