RAPIDS CITY — Matthew Arnold will share “Hope During Troubling Times” when he visits St. John the Baptist Church, 1416 Third Ave., for presentations on Saturday, Dec. 7, and Sunday, Dec. 8.

Arnold is a former Hollywood insider who now evangelizes as a speaker, author and host of “Shield of Faith” on Radio Maria. He has been speaking around the country since 1996, and in 2011 National Catholic Register called him “one of the nation’s leading apologists.”

The founder of Pro Multis Media, Arnold works with Ignatius Press and St. Joseph Communications, and his CD about the prophecies and promises of “Our Lady of Good Success” was featured recently as the “CD of the Month” by Lighthouse Catholic Media.

His seminar at St. John the Baptist begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 7, and includes talks about “Overcoming New Age: Matthew’s Conversion Story,” “Our Lady of Good Success” and “Mary and the Rosary.” The day will conclude with adoration and the sacrament of reconciliation at 3 p.m. and Mass at 5 p.m.

Registration begins at noon on Dec. 8. Arnold will explore how “You Are Gifted: Discovering Your Core Spiritual Strengths” at 12:30 p.m. and “Katholic Kryptonite Strikes Back (Against the Secular Atheistic Culture)” at 2 p.m. The closing prayer is planned for 3 p.m.

There will be breaks between the talks each day, and food will be available for purchase in the church hall.

The cost is $20 for both days, $15 for Saturday only and $10 for Sunday only. One guest will be admitted free with each ticket. There is no charge for clergy to attend.
