Six priests are retiring after decades of service to diocese

Among the clergy appointments announced in May by Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, was the granting of senior status to four diocesan priests, while two religious order priests are returning to community life. Three will be honored at their parishes this Sunday, June 9.

— Father Duane Jack, pastor of St. Patrick’s Parish, Colona
— Father Ted Pracz, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Danville
— Father James Rickey, pastor of St. Patrick’s Parish, Dwight
— Father John Paninski, MS, pastor of St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Georgetown
— Msgr. Doug Hennessy, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Bloomington, and
— Father Roger Corpus, OSB, pastor of St. Mary’s Parish, El Paso.
The appointments are effective on Wednesday, June 12, with the exceptions of Msgr. Hennessy (effective July 14) and Father Roger (effective July 31).
