619 seniors set to graduate from area Catholic high schools
A total of 619 seniors are scheduled to receive diplomas from Catholic high schools and academies in the Diocese of Peoria in the coming days.
The dates and times for the baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies are as follows:
Schlarman Academy, Danville — Graduation ceremonies will begin at 3:30 p.m. this Sunday, May 12, at Holy Family Church in Danville. Schlarman has 34 senior graduates.
St. Bede Academy, Peru — Baccalaureate Mass and reception will be Saturday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Bede Abbey Church. Graduation ceremonies will be at 2 p.m. the following day, also at the abbey church. St. Bede has 75 graduates.
Central Catholic High School, Bloomington — Graduation ceremonies will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Holy Trinity Church in Bloomington. Central Catholic has 90 graduates.
The High School of Saint Thomas More, Champaign — The Baccalaureate Mass begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, in the school gym. The conferral of diplomas follows the Mass. The High School of Saint Thomas More has 76 graduates.
Marquette Academy, Ottawa — Baccalaureate Mass is schedule for 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa. The celebrant will be Father Dustin Schultz. Graduation will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, in Bader Gym. Marquette Academy has 48 senior graduates.
Alleman High School, Rock Island — The Baccalaureate Mass and senior awards program is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at St. Pius X Church in Rock Island. Graduation ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at Augustana College’s Centennial Hall. Alleman has 101 graduates.
Peoria Notre Dame High School — The Baccalaureate Mass and graduation ceremonies begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at the Peoria Civic Center. Principal Charlie Roy and Msgr. Mark Merdian will be the speakers. Peoria Notre Dame has 195 graduates.
