Correction on time of Social Teaching Institute Oct. 29

An advertisement in the Oct. 16 issue of The Catholic Post included an incorrect start time for the Diocese of Peoria’s Catholic Social Teaching Institute on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Spalding Pastoral Center in Peoria.

The institute is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., not from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as stated in the ad.

It will feature presentations by John Carr, executive director of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ department of justice, peace, and human development. Topics include “Good News in Tough Times: Catholic Social Mission and Message,” and “Putting Faith into Action: Opportutnities and Challenges for Catholics.”

Registration can be done by phone to (309) 762-3168, by e-mail for Father Dick Bresnahan at r.bresnahan@mchsi.com, or by mail to Catholic Social Teaching Institute, Fr. Dick Bresnahan, 2435 29th St., Moline, IL 61265. Fee is $15, which includes lunch. Checks can be mailed to the above address or brought to the institute on Oct. 29.
