Duke University organist in cathedral recital Friday night

Dr. David Arcus, the organist at the Duke University Chapel and accompanist for the Duke Chapel Choir, will give a recital on Friday, Sept. 30, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 607 N.E. Madison Ave., in Peoria. Sponsored by the Peoria Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Arcus has performed in the United States, Great Britain, France and Germany, including the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, and St. Sulpice in Paris. He appears annually on the Duke Chapel Organ Recital Series, and his CD, “Organs of Duke Chapel,” is available on Gothic Records.
