Bears’ McCaskey to speak at ISU Newman Center Sept. 29

NORMAL — Patrick McCaskey, senior director for the Chicago Bears, will present a program based on his new book “Sports and Faith” from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at the John Paul II Catholic Newman Center, 501 S. Main St.

McCaskey is a 36-year veteran of the Bears’ organization and is chairman of Sports Faith International, an initiative that recognizes people who are successful in sports while leading exemplary lives.

The program is free and open to the public. Signed copies of his book, which is subtitled “Stories of the Devoted and the Devout,” will be available and attendees will have the opportunity to greet McCaskey.

Editor’s note: The headline in last weekend’s issue of The Catholic Post contained an incorrect date for the presentation.
