Speakers set for July 29-30 Charismatic Renewal Conference
When Catholic Charismatics from central Illinois come together in Peoria at the end of July, they will be invited to reflect on “The Father’s Promise.”
Helping them do that at the 25th annual Charismatic Renewal Conference will be Mother Adela Galindo, SCTJM, foundress of the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and Aggie Neck, director of Servant House in Marksville, La.
Participants also will have the opportunity to pray with Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, who is scheduled to celebrate the opening Mass of the Holy Spirit on Friday, July 29, and Father Paul Burak, who will preside at a healing service and the closing Mass on Saturday, July 30.
Leading the musical praise and worship for the conference will be Mary Delgado of the Spirit of Love Disciples prayer group and a member of St. Edward’s Parish in Chillicothe.
The gathering will take place at Four Points by Sheraton, formerly the Holiday Inn City Centre, which is located at 500 Hamilton Blvd., in downtown Peoria. As they have in past years, conference organizers are working with the hotel to make space available for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the sacrament of reconciliation, prayer, and a bookstore.
