‘Birth control culture’ is topic March 15 in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN — Pope Paul VI’s prophetic words about artificial birth control and the problems that would result from its use will be the focus of a “Life Is Sweet” presentation on Tuesday, March 15, in the parish hall of St. Matthew’s Church, 1303 Lincolnshire Drive. It will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Lynn Grandon, founding executive director of the Women’s Choice Center in Bettendorf, Iowa, and former director of the Office of Respect Life and Human Dignity for the Diocese of Peoria. Her topic is “Confronting the ‘Birth Control’ Culture.”
Representatives from local pro-life ministries also will be available to provide information about their work and volunteer opportunities.
“Life Is Sweet” is a series of events sponsored by the respect life ministries of Holy Cross and St. Matthew’s parishes. There is no charge to attend the presentation, but a free-will donation will be accepted to benefit local pro-life agencies.
