Father Caster to sign copies of new book on Saturday
Father Gary Caster, a priest of the Diocese of Peoria who is currently serving as chaplain at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., will sign copies of his new book “The Little Way of Lent: Meditations in the Spirit of St. Therese of Lisieux” from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, at Lagron-Miller Company in Peoria.
The 126-page paperback book, published by Servant Books, will be reviewed on The Catholic Post’s book page in early March.
“When I entered the seminary, I promised St. Therese that, should I be ordained, I would try to bring people to her so that she might bring them to Christ,” writes Father Caster in the book’s introduction. The meditations are based on Lenten Mass readings and “are all colored by (St. Therese’s) little way of spiritual childhood,” said Father Caster, who was ordained in 1992.
Lagron-Miller is located at 4517 N. Sterling Ave. in Peoria.
