Schedule of Christmas Masses at St. Mary’s Cathedral

The Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, located in Peoria at 607 N.E. Madison Ave., is the mother church of the Diocese of Peoria. Weekend Masses are at 4 p.m. on Saturdays (in Latin), and at 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Sundays.

Christmas celebrations and opportunities for prayer at the cathedral include:

Friday, Dec. 24: The sacrament of reconciliation will be available from 3 to 4 p.m.; Christmas Eve Family Mass with a “mini concert” by the Missionaries of Charity’s Children’s Choir, 4 p.m.; Christmas concert with the Cantus Choir School, Chant Schola, Cathedral Choir and Pontifical Brass, 8 p.m.; Solemn Mass of Christmas Eve with Bishop Jenky as celebrant, 9 p.m. (in English)

Saturday, Dec. 25: Midnight Mass, 12 a.m. (in Spanish); Solemn Mass of Christmas Morning with Bishop Jenky as celebrant, 10:30 a.m. (in English); Mass of Christmas Day, noon (in Spanish).

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Vigil Mass at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 25.
